This member of the Cucurbitaceae family was described by Jean-Henri Humbert in 1945.
It's from Madagascar, where it lives on the mountain slopes. Rich
soil, little water and not too much sun. The flowers
are green-yellow. Can be reproduced both by cuttings and seeds.
The genera name from the Greek
zygos; 'yoked' or 'joined' and sicyos; 'cucumber'. The
species name means 'three divided, separated'.
